According to Bloomberg, Apple plans to make apps Universal across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
This is a big news for developers community and the whole Apple Ecosystem users.
“Starting as early as next year, software developers will be able to design a single application that works with a touchscreen or mouse and trackpad depending on whether it’s running on the iPhone and iPad operating system or on Mac hardware, according to people familiar with the matter. “
As it is said in the article on Bloomberg, the project is codenamed “Marzipan”.
If apps will become universal across all devices, who knows, maybe this will lead to a single operating system in the future.
We hope to hear more news about Mac Universal Apps in 2018 and at WWDC 2018.
